Left out of
their own coastline

Many coastal communities, despite living in prime kite destinations, are often excluded from the kitesurfing tourism industry due to social, economic and cultural barriers:

  • No access to training, certification, or start-up capital
  • Dependence on external operators who keep profits outside the community
  • No visible role models or pathways into the industry
  • Cultural and psychological distance from tourism spaces

At the same time, kitesurfing is a fast-growing global sport that creates demand for instructors, guides, technicians, and tourism professionals. We support women from these local communities. These women become certified instructors — welcoming the world to their coastlines, and keeping the economic benefits where they belong.

Individual, community, and sustainability — Rise with the Wind creates lasting change at every level.
