A local tips for Guriú

Tucked between Jericoacoara and the dunes of Tatajuba, Guriú is a small, tranquil fishing village surrounded by mangroves, offering an authentic immersion into local life with minimal tourist infrastructure. Near the river mouth, conditions are flat and ideal for freeride and freestyle; further offshore, moderate waves draw strapless surf enthusiasts. Winds average 18 to 30 knots during the season from July to January, and the epic downwind runs to Tatajuba are the stuff of kitesurfing legend. Raw, beautiful, and utterly unforgettable.
